“How’s It Goin’, Ex?”

Divorce is something we’d never ever dream on anyone, but #shithappens, especially in Hollywood, no doubt.

One minute they’re married and the next thing you know, they’re filing for divorce. Some of them, however, have been super mature and amicable with one another, despite things not working out as expected.

Deep down, we wished things would pan out like it did for these Hollywood couples. In fact, the world would be a much better place. So let’s give it up for these former lovebirds 👫

Call it a crazy time in their lives, but these two have been pals even after their three-year marriage. The soon-to-be “ex-Mrs Pitt” even wrote intimately in Thornton’s 2012 memoir, stating that he was “an unmatchable wit” who would “make you laugh until your face hurts.” Awww…

Although it was the love story of the late 80s, award-winning actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s union did not last as long as we could’ve hoped. Nonetheless, they’ve set a great example for all divorced couples with children, considering that the two stars have never attempted to break the family unit apart. In fact, their eldest daughter, Rumer Willis, praised her parents for keeping it together, “They always made an effort to do all of the family events together and made such an effort to have our family as one unit.” Hats off to you both, Bruce and Demi!

💟 Orlando Bloom & Miranda Kerr 💟

Living miles apart is never good for married couple, let alone allowing location to be one of the main grounds for divorce. Although currently with new loves in their lives, Australian gem Miranda Kerr and The Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom have kept it together for the sake of their five year-old, Flynn.

💟 Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner 💟

When the Daredevil stars finally came out as a couple, we couldn’t be happier! Sadly, this 10-year fairytale is hanging on an edge at the moment as the couple announced their intentions to divorce. Nonetheless, the couple have been doing their best to stay together for the sake of their three young children. Amidst the relationship tensions and tabloids, we believe deep down that Jen and Ben still have that spark somewhere… Hang in there, guys!

💟 Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin 💟

She may have been Iron Man’s dotting girlfriend Pepper Potts, but really, she was Coldplay’s Chris Martin’s one and only. Like most Hollywood couples, Gwyneth and Chris’s marriage lasted for a decade before filing for divorce. There was, however, no bad feelings between the two as they’ve very much credited one another’s merits as an ex. C’mon, Gwyneth even celebrated her 43rd birthday with Chris and their kids… Who wouldn’t want that kind of loving friendship?

“You have to press the button — I’m going back to the baseline of I love this person, he’s the father of my children, he’s a wonderful man. I’m just going to put my shit aside for right now.”

– Gwyneth Paltrow

💟 Kourtney Kardashian & Scott Disick 💟

I know it's now November, but…

Keeping Up With The Kardashians literally takes the breath out of you — I mean, how many times can you call off a relationship with the same man over nine years? Oh well, we can’t get enough of Scott and Kourtney anyway. The pair may bicker constantly, but they ultimately can’t live without each other. Together with their children – Mason, 6, Penelope, 4, and Reign, 21 months – it would be almost impossible to co-exist without the other.

💟 Fran Drescher & Peter Marc Jacobson 💟

It’s not every day that you marry someone who was secretly gay, but actress Fran Drescher and producer Peter Marc Jacobson were in that exact situation. Although these high school sweethearts had triumphed in many successes during their 21-year marriage – including hit TV series The Nanny – it was only two years after their divorce that Peter came clean to Fran. Since then, they’ve been close BFFs for everything, be it shopping, hosting a dinner party or travelling. The duo even produced a sitcom called Happily Divorce that chronicled a woman’s experience of finding out about her husband’s homosexuality.
